What we offer
Karma Births offers a comprehensive package of care to support a woman throughout her pregnancy, birth & for a month after her baby is born.
Initial Consultation
This preliminary meeting lasts approximately one hour. It is an opportunity for the woman to meet with us & decide whether she feels comfortable engaging our services. Similarly it enables us to discuss the woman’s particular needs & ensure that we are able to provide the kind of care she wants.
The consultation is without commitment on either side.
The fee for this consultation is £25, which is deducted from the final fee if the woman engages Karma Births for her care.
Antenatal Care
Care during pregnancy is tailored to the woman’s individual needs, but usually consists of about ten visits during the pregnancy. The frequency of the visits increases as the birth approaches.
Labour & Birth
We provide total support & care throughout your labour & birth.
Postnatal Care
We provide individually tailored care to support you for the first month after the birth.
Total Care Package
Our professional fees for this comprehensive care package are £2,950. This is usually paid in instalments during the pregnancy.
Karma Births is able to support women throughout East & West Sussex. Depending on individual circumstances, we may be able to accept bookings from women living further afield.
Other Services
Karma Births also offers a range of services for women who have not chosen to engage an independent midwife for their birth, but who wish to enhance their pregnancy & birth experience.
Active Birth Classes [TBC]
Baby Massage
Becky is qualified to teach baby massage & runs courses in her local area. Courses comprise five, ninety minute sessions. Class sizes are limited to enable you to gain the most benefit from the experience
Fee £40 per course or complimentary to those who have booked with Karma Births for their birth care.
Extended Breastfeeding Support
We provide a flexible & relaxed service which supports the establishment of breastfeeding. We are also experienced in resolving any difficulties with breastfeeding.
Fee £50 per visit
Stand Alone Consultation
Karma Births is happy to provide a consultation service for women who wish to discuss their individual situation & options for care with an independent professional.
